Software development stage: alpha
This is a technology preview release of the PloneMultimedia suite of products. It is intended to get feedback on these products which have up to this point not been released.

PloneMultimedia is a developers framework for rapidly developing and deploying rich, full featured multimedia content types within the context of Plone.

PloneMultimedia provides common base classes with which you can build your own custom multimedia content types. PlonenMultimedia will also provide portal tools for handling of configuration information.

PloneMultimedia does the actual work and heavy lifting involved in using multimedia content in Plone. PloneMultimedia types serve as easy extension points for other developers as project specific components can be created and bound or you can choose among the rich existing set
of features.
