Plone Slimbox don't work

I tested this product in my Zope 2.9.5 + Plone-2.5 and initial it doesn't work, then I discovered that only works if the option Debug / development mode in portal_javascripts as in enable. However, this option should not be always enabled for performance reasons. What to do?
