LatexMathImage generates an image from a latex expression.
It provides a Latex Math Image content that can be inserted from Kupu like a standard image.
LatexMathImage is using the latexmath2png library, written by Kamil Kisiel (see latexmath2png.py for details)
Dependencies
A LaTeX installation must exits, with dvitopng
Under Ubuntu Dapper:
- tetex-base
- tetex-bin
- dvipng
Installation
Unpack LatexMathImage into the Products directory and then install like any other Plone product with QuickInstaller.
Examples:
Examples of valid expressions to put in the Latex Math Expression field:
x^2
y^2=x^2+\alpha^2
(a^3+2a^2b+ab^2) + (a^2b+2ab^2+b^3)
One equation is allowed per line of text. Remember to refresh the view after editing an existent LatexMathImage.
