ifSearchUI is a product that will implement user interface changes to a Plone site to incorporate search engine best practices. It provides changes on how the results are displayed (including, displaying the search criteria and providing a box for searching again), what happens if there are no results, and also validates the search criteria. It also includes a page of Search Tips that explains the syntax that can be used by default on a Plone site.
ifSearchUI provides search ui improvements: search box validation; search help link; no results hints; and in the search results page, show criteria (soon), show search box, result numbers, paging links above, matching text highlighting. Redefines the search template.
Works with Plone 2.5.
Customizations:
- To change the no results message, customize the no_results.pt template;
- To modify the results search box, using the results_box macro you have 2 empty slots: above_box and below_box
