More to come here ! Although the process of documentation is still ongoing the created ISOs are already fun to use and known to work for two years.
One important goal is to give HOWTOs a place where the reproduction of examples is easy. You can also use the ISOs to test out configurations before trying them on a live (Ubuntu) system.
There are to lines of releases at the moment: 1) testing 2) stable
latest "testing version" can be obtained with
http://www.zope.de/Members/sascha/livecd/de-plone-3-3rc5-ubuntu-9-04-desktop-i386-iso-torrent/view
latest "stable" can be obtained with http://www.zope.de/Members/sascha/livecd/de-plone-3-2-3-ubuntu-8-04-3-desktop-i386-iso-torrent/view
the german user community already has a small "bittorent network" - the creation process (still) takes place behind a ADSL line (a "virtualbox" on a Macintosh Laptop) - so the first upload to the "bittorent network" produces some delay - the creation process takes about one hour.
if you want to help out and set up a "mirror" - here is how it can be done: (geman with screenshots)

Also if you want to create HOWTOs which can be tried from a livecd, feel free to join the successfull team ;-)
You should find the source for creating ISO's on the livecd.
