Plone Lock Manager allows you to manage locked files inside Plone, without having to go into the ZMI.
If you use External Editor or Web DAV then you will be locking content on your web site. At this point there is no easy way to unlock or clean up these locks, you have to go to the Control Panel inside the ZMI and search out the locks.
The Plone Lock Manager allows you to go to a page in the Control Panel and empty out the locks. Further from a folder you can view the locks and choose to clear them.
