The LDAP User Folder is a user folder replacement for Zope that authenticates Zope users against LDAP.

I have tried on 2 XP machines and 1 2003 machine to get this to work and it is never availble to me. LDAP show as an installed module in Python and I have update GRUF in Plone. I'm trying to get authentication to work in an AD environment and any help will be very much appreciated...

You need to be sure that OpenLDAP libraries are available to LDAPUserFolder. Win32 systems need to have some tricks applied to make LDAPUserFolder to run properly.

You have to install precomppiled ldap python libraries for Windows to get the LDAPUserFolder work correctly (google for them ;) ).
Second point is to setup the connection correctly in LDAPUserFolder instance check the Base DNs are they correctly set, check the "User object classes" it can depend on scheme used in your LDAP.
