Here are the main features of the product:

• Membership System - Anonymous Users can become Members by "signing up" via a small and easy form.
• Topic Subscription - Members Can subscribe to specific topics and get notifications via email when these topics are updated.
• Member Properties - Members can easily change their properties such as name, password, email, home page, etc.
• Avatars, Signatures - Members can select their own, personalized avatar (images) and signatures (ASCII), and optionally show them in their postings or replies. Avatars can be allowed or denied by the forum Administrator.
• Skinnable - fcForum already comes with 8 skins, any programmer can tweak the skins (or add more) to suit your needs.
• Language Support fcForum currently fully supports English, Español, Deutsch, Francçais, Português Suomi, Italian and Suomi languages for (UI) presentation.
• Forum "Jump" and Forum Search - Users can quickly switch forums via a quick forum jump select box, which will show only the available forums based on the user's credentials. Standard forum search feature.
• Administrative Tools - Administrators have FULL conrol over absolutely all parameters of the system, from editing users, topics system-wide properties, global messages, sticky topics, locked topics and a wide array of functions described in detail next.
• Forum Types - Admnistrator can set up Public, Members-Only and Administrators-Only Forums, flags that can be changed at any time.
• Topic Pagination and Topic Expansion - Administrators can control the number of "topics-per-page" shown, in addition, the system has a "preview thread", that allows the user to preview an entire topic thread without having to actually "open" up the topic itself, all this done dynamically using the "magic" of Dynamic HTML (DHTML).
• System-Generated Password for New Members - Administrators can change the system behavior so new Members receive their passwords via email rather than allowing them to select a password themselves, this is for "spamming control" purposes, this setting can be changed at any time.
• System Language Default - Administrators can select what language the forums will be shown for the user that is visiting the system and has not log in. Once a Member is logged in the system, she can override the system-wide language display settings with her member's one.
• Emoticons and HTML Wizards - Basic set of emoticons and wizards to allow to spice up your messages.
• Forum Moderation - Members can post messages, but they are not shown until the forum administrator approves them, Forum Admnistrators are also provided with tools that allow them to know where and how many "outstanding" messages are ready for accept/reject.
• Web Standard Compliance - Extensively use of DHTML 1.0, and CSS 2.0 makes the presentation standard across browsers and operating system, "Best Viewed with ANY BROWSER" in effect.
• Easy Visualization for New Messages - All messages that were created or modified the same day the user is browsing the forums on, will be highlighted.
• Pure Zope Product - Drop-In-Your-Products-Folder type of "installation", as easy as that.
