CMFSquidTool aims to be be the tool used by everyone that has a CMF/Plone site with a proxy frontend.
CMFSquidTool hooks into some key operations of CMF and Archetypes based content to provide immediate PURGE of content cached by a frontend proxy.
Currently, CMFSquidTool is known to work with:
Some key features include:
- Purge multiple frontend caching servers
- Configurable purge URL computation, based on a TALES expression
- Global configuration of host rewrite
- Purge requests happen at transaction boundaries, so they only happen if the transaction might commit succesfully
- Multiple calls to the purge method within the same transaction will be condensend in a single purge request
